The Collinsville Township Highway Department
The Collinsville Township Highway Department provides services to unincorporated residents in Collinsville, Maryville, areas in Glen Carbon, and areas in Pontoon Beach. These services include road and gutter maintenance and repairs, street signs, paving, oiling and chipping, mowing, street sweeping and snow and ice removal and mosquito abatement. The Collinsville Township maintains more than 60 miles of road, including intergovernmental maintenance.

Limb Mulching Service - limbs are collected starting the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, be sure to call 618-344-0013 to be placed on the list for pick up.
Yard Waste Dumpster- Available at the Highway Department during normal office hours (7:00 am - 3:00 pm). Yard waste must be in paper bags. Accepted items include grass clippings, gum balls, small bush clippings, small twigs and leaves. Residents must show proof of residency.
Appliance and Scrap Metal Pickup- Items are picked up on Mondays. Please call the office to schedule your item/items for pickup.
Curbside Leaf Vacuuming (Late Fall only)- Leaves should be brought curbside after posting of street or subdivision and should be out by Monday to be picked up that week.
Road and Bridge Department Services:
Christmas Tree Drop off- Designated Christmas Tree Drop off center.
Allied Waste is the Collinsville Township waste hauler and offers large item pickup all year to unincorporated residents. Call Republic Services at 618-656-6883 to schedule pickup of furniture, carpet, toilets, etc.
3/1/22 -- We are sorry to report that we will only be able to pick up small brush and small limb piles going forward. Changes in our disposal availability has changed, therefore we are no longer able to pick up large piles of limbs. If things change in the future, we will advise.
Also: If you are hiring a service to cut down or prune your trees, we Do Not provide service for disposal of those limbs.
